Melissa and Scott’s Destin beach wedding is perfect. This St. Louis couple brought 100 of their friends and family members down to the beach for a week of celebration, and we were able to capture the big event. The couple wanted to represent both the gorgeous Destin beaches, and also the southern charm and majestic oak trees of Old Florida. We chose to do a First Look (complete with tears and laughter) at the gorgeous Eden Gardens State Park, under the sweeping oaks and framed by the prettiest manor home . . . and then we moved down to the beach for the ceremony and tented reception. The softest, wispiest clouds rolled in, giving the ceremony a lovely, soft feeling; and we all watched the sun set over dinner. Melissa and Scott were extra-excited about taking night photos, so we had a blast ending this Destin wedding by trashing the dress in the Gulf of Mexico, resulting in some of the most gorgeous and dramatic photos I’ve ever taken.
