What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
“I loved Addison’s heirloom details! The small, personal details that might not be obvious are always my favorite. Her grandmother’s pearl bracelet (I am partial to pearls since I wore my mom’s on my own wedding day!) and her father’s handkerchief, embroidered with their wedding date were such special, sentimental items. I thought it was so sweet that she incorporated them on their wedding day!”
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
“Not exactly. Well not exactly at first. The Pensacola Yacht Club is so pretty and we had planned to do most of their portraits outside. A few BIG storms began rolling through right about the time we were scheduled to get started, but as luck would have it, we managed to get everything between downpours and ended up with the prettiest sunset to end the day!
What was the couple’s session like?
“GORGEOUS!! As it often happens on the Gulf Coast, the rain passed and we ended up with the perfect light for their portraits at sunset! I snuck them out of their reception for 15 minutes and the result was so worth it – beautiful, dreamy portraits of them by the marina! We couldn’t have asked for a better end to the day!
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
“Addison was a bundle of nerves leading up to the first look. The weather was worrisome, but I reassured her that it would be ok and we went ahead with our plan! As soon as she saw John she melted and the weight lifted – it was the sweetest moment!!
Was there unique transportation?
“They were whisked away at the end of the night in the most AMAZING 1953 Packard convertible!! Seeing them drive off into the night, waving to their cheering guests, was like something out of a movie! Just a perfect end to a perfect day!
