Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
“I was afraid their late August wedding would be unbearably hot (everyone on the Gulf Coast feels me, right?!) but it seems the universe had other plans and it was a gorgeous late summer day! We found the perfect pockets of shade and the breezes came through at just the right times, there was no rain and the light was golden – my favorite kind of day!
Was the exit exciting and unique?
“We frequently see big send offs at the end of the reception, but rarely a send off after the ceremony (they seem to be largely regional choices!) and I loved that they did a big send off outside the church!! I loved seeing all of their family and friends so excited for them in that moment, the dried flowers they tossed overhead smelled divine!! More ceremony send offs please!!
What made the reception enjoyable?
“So. Much. Dancing!!! In addition to hiring a DJ for the evening, Kelly and Nick brought a traditional Greek band all the way from New York and it was incredible!! So many pairs of shoes were kicked off by the end of the night, but they never stopped dancing!!
Tell me about the couple’s choice of color palette.
“Kelly has a gorgeous, vibrant personality (ahem, leopard print wedding shoes!!) and chose a STUNNING palette FULL of color!! I tend generally to prefer more muted tones, but the bright pops of color throughout the ladies bouquets and reception decor were perfectly done and absolutely beautiful! Perfect for a late summer wedding!!
Was there an exceptional vendor?
“Designs Adrift did a magnificent job bringing Kelly’s vision of lush, vivid florals to life!! Everything was absolutely fabulous and such a treat to photograph!!
