What made the wedding venue special?
“The Pensacola Yacht Club is such a gorgeous setting. The lawn stretches down to the marina and bayou, so the beautiful sunset was framed with masts and other nautical elements that made an already gorgeous view even better.”
Tell me about the couple’s choice of color palette.
“The Pensacola Yacht Club is classically decked in royal blue and white, which made the reception feel crisp and pulled together. Erin had her bridesmaids wear a beautiful, crimson gown, which popped against the blue and white in a way that was classic and clean. Everything else was neutral – the florals were white and green, allowing the stunning natural beauty of the environment to be the real star.”
How did the parent’s react upon seeing their son/daughter?
“Erin and her dad’s first look was one of my favorite wedding moments – ever! Her dad walked in and we were all prepped for him to cry, but he seemed pretty stoic and held it together . . . for about 10 seconds! Then he lost it, and it was incredibly special to watch Erin comfort him while holding in her own tears. It was also pretty convenient that she gifted him with a monogrammed hankie, as it was immediately put to use!”
Were there any children involved in the ceremony or reception that were memorable?
“There are a gaggle of adorable kiddos! Erin told me that she loved the kids, and that she loved seeing them be “real” – so we tried to capture photos that showed their personalities, rather than forcing them to sit super still. It was a blast!”
