What emotions were apparent while the bride was getting ready?
The getting ready process is one of my favorite moments to capture. Laura was very present, zenful and confident. She was enjoying every moment while getting ready and I think that’s how it should be. This is the moment where the bride sees everything she planned for and how she envisioned styling her hair and makeup come to vision. It’s also more than just having your hair and make up done, it’s a moment you have with your bridesmaids cheering you on because you are about to marry the man of your dreams. It’s a defining moment you have with your mom when she is helping you gown in your dress. And what a powerful moment it is to capture those moments when the bride feels her absolute best. When Laura’s make up was finished, the makeup artist handed her the mirror and Laura instantly had the biggest smile. When the makeup artist asked if there is anything she would like for her to change or touch up Laura said “Nothing – I LOVE IT”. Laura made a beautiful bride and her bridal portraits were just STUNNING
What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
There were so many details that were beautiful but I LOVED her table setting she had for her bridal party. The bridal party table featured perfectly lined up roses to match the length of the table. It was classic, elegant and romantic. There were also candles lit which gave it an intimate and romantic element.
How did the parent’s react upon seeing their son/daughter?
It’s a special kind of love a dad has for his daughter and it was honestly the sweetest moment to capture Laura’s first look with her dad. Laura’s dad had been waiting for this moment. As soon as he opened his eyes you could see the awe. Laura’s dad was taking it all on and relishing the moment.
