What made the wedding venue special?
Kim and Joe chose to have their destination beach wedding at the Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Sandestin. In my opinion, the Grand Lawn at the Grand Sandestin is one of the best kept “secret” garden event spaces in our area! It is a venue that is somehow grand while feeling intimate, unpretentious yet elegant, and picture perfect at every turn and I simply love photographing weddings there. Better yet, the extensive resort property spans both the bay and gulf sides of highway 98, and offers their couples multiple different ceremony and reception space options, as well as on-site accommodations and activities that truly allow couples and their guests the opportunity to make their wedding weekend a vacation!
What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
It is no secret that I adore a classic wedding aesthetic and Kim, and Joe’s black white design choices were absolutely goreous! Bella Flora 30a designed and created the most stunning, fluffy white floral arrangements with soft blush and gold accents, but my favorite element by far, was their open-air black and white checkered dance floor under cafe lights on the grand lawn.
What was unique about the bride and groom’s attire?
Can we please just give Kim’s stunning Barbara Kavchock gown the moment it deserves?! I was OBSESSED with the diaphanous detachable tulle overskirt, illusion plunge neckline, and perfect amount of sparkle in the intricate beadwork. She was definitely channeling vintage Hollywood meets modern glam and I am so here for it!
