What made the reception enjoyable?
This was a destination wedding for nearly every guest, and it was clear everyone was there to party! I love a good destination wedding – the guests arrive relaxed (usually a little bit sunburned), and ready to have a great time. The band was amazing. Loren and Zach heard this band play at a local Pensacola Beach hangout spot, and booked them for the wedding. It was a great choice! They played crowd favorites all night long, and you could tell the band was having as much fun as the crowd! Although they met while on vacation (separately) in Croatia, the bride and groom grew up less than twenty miles from one another on Long Island, and I couldn’t help but smile every time the crowd erupted into North Shore vs South Shore rivalry!
What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
Oh, Loren’s bridal gown was exquisite. The minimal and modern crepe gown from Alyssa Kristin looked like it was made for her, and her classic styling was absolute perfection. Once she added the finishing touch – long cathedral veil – I was in heaven! Her bridesmaids wore mismatched blue and white floral dresses, and the effect was a bridal party that looked straight out of a magazine. So beautiful!
Were there any children involved in the ceremony or reception that were memorable?
Zach’s three nieces were in the wedding, and they were the cutest! You could tell they were all so excited to be there. One of my favorite moments was when the three girls saw Loren in her gown for the first time. They ran immediately to her, and within seconds one of the flower girls was lifting the end of her veil and making it float in the breeze – it was magical watching the excitement on their faces.
