What made the wedding venue special?
While Sandestin Resort is a beautiful venue year-round, nothing is quite like it in the off-season. Rachel + Ryan couldn’t agree more and knew they wanted to celebrate there with family and friends in October. The couple held a beautiful outdoor ceremony followed by a gorgeous tented reception in the most perfect fall weather you could ask for in the state of Florida. From brisk temps to near-empty streets, Sandestin was the ideal setting for their perfect wedding day.
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
The first time Ryan saw Rachel on their wedding day I’m pretty sure everyone was holding back tears, myself included. The Groom explained that even though he had written his vows weeks earlier, something prompted him to start from scratch that very morning. Ryan pulled out his leather-bound journal and read aloud to his bride. He spoke from the heart, expressing his love for her and talking about their future together. The couple wiped away each other’s tears before sharing a sweet embrace.
Did the couple incorporate any pets in the wedding?
Not long after the Bride + Groom saw one another for the first time, an extra special first look with an extra special good boy took place. Matching his dad in his very own Bowtie tux collar combo, darling Golden Retriever Oliver ran to see his parents. Many, many sweet kisses and tail wags later (and of course after a quick game of fetch) the happy family posed for a few pictures before bidding baby Ollie adieu and heading off to get hitched.
