Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
After what has felt like the rainiest July ever in the history of rainy Julys along the Gulf Coast, Ashley and Jacob were graced with blue skies and abundant sunshine for their wedding on the green at The Island Resort in Fort Walton Beach. As the sun went down over the Gulf of Mexico they were even treated to one of our spectacular pink sunsets! It couldn’t have been a prettier mid-summer day for this gorgeous couple and their guests!
What was the couple’s session like?
In a word, STUNNING!! Ashley told me that she and Jacob loved the lush, tropical greenery around The Island Resort property and wanted to take advantage of it for their portraits together. I was so excited to find a tucked away corner for their first look and portraits together, and even more excited to see the resulting photos on the back of my camera! It looked like we had been transported to an exotic location somewhere in Mexico – just gorgeous!!
Tell me about the couple’s choice of color palette.
I adored Ashley and Jacob’s black, white, and dusty blue color palette with pops of gold and silvery green accents. It was equal parts classic and modern, and beautifully executed by the team at Our Greenhouse!
