What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
Melinda + Todd chose to have their wedding on a Monday afternoon halfway across the country with their nearest and dearest. That day held a special significance to the bride, as it was the wedding anniversary of her late parents. Honoring her parents became a big part of their wedding day, and I can’t think of anything sweeter. Instead of their own guestbook, Melinda pulled out her parents and used the remaining blank pages for their guests to sign. Flipping through the pages, the mix of old signatures and well wishes mixed intertwined with newly written names made for a unique experience.
What made the reception enjoyable?
The Henderson’s Sunset Terrace made the perfect place for their intimate reception. The evening started with a gorgeous plated dinner and tearful, heartfelt speeches. Once their guests were ready to boogie, local country musician Casey Kearney played an acoustic set that had the dance floor packed and guests singing along.
What emotions were apparent on the wedding day?
The outpouring of love among the couple and their guests was truly beautiful. Melinda + Todd had a terrific turnout for a destination wedding on a Monday, and it’s no surprise why. During their speeches, guests commented that they would have traveled anywhere to see them tie the knot, that’s just how special they are to their friends and family. The evening was full of thoughtful stories, lots of laughter, and more importantly, lots and lots of love.
