Tell me about the couple’s choice of color palette.
Lauren and Jason’s wedding at St. Joseph Chapel and Bragg Mitchell Mansion in Mobile, Alabama was the very definition of classic southern elegance! From the classic black tuxedos on the guys and Lauren’s fluffy white peony bouquet, all the way down to the checkerboard dance floor, I adored their sophisticated black and white color palette! Every detail was thoughtfully designed and executed perfectly!
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
We went into Lauren and Jason’s wedding day with a forecast that called for terrible thunderstorms. Somehow the rain held off at all the right moments though, and we were able to take advantage of all the gorgeous locations at Springhill College and the Bragg Mitchell Mansion for their photos! It may not have been a clear, sunny day, but it was still gorgeous!!
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
My favorite thing about a first look is not that it somehow makes a wedding day easier logistically, but how much more intimate that moment is when a couple sees each other for the first time on their wedding day. Lauren and Jason initially did not want to do a first look with each other prior to their ceremony, but changed their minds just a few days before their wedding. Jason’s reaction when he saw his gorgeous bride for the first time, just the two of them, was absolute perfection, and I loved that they ultimately decided to make space for a moment for just each other on their wedding day!
