What made the reception enjoyable?
Abbi and Josh actually met and fell in love while in swing class so, naturally, dancing was a major part of their celebration. The bride and groom wowed their guests during their first dance with a choreographed Viennese Waltz. The newly married duo twirled about the dance floor beneath the twinkly bistro lights, and even nailed a few lifts. By the end of the evening the dance floor was filled with guests learning partner dance steps with the help of the Groom himself.
Were there any unique traditions or special details with symbolic importance that made the ceremony memorable?
From a fairy tale-inspired introduction read off a scroll, to pinky promises, and a daytime bubble gun exit, Abbi and Josh packed their intimate ceremony with all of the sweetest personal details. The most special addition to the day was the family heirloom they chose to incorporate into their ceremony. Abbi and Josh used an antique silk scarf belonging to the groom’s family for a handfasting ceremony, joining the two as husband and wife.
What was unique about the bride and groom’s attire?
Abbi surprised everyone with her two wedding gowns – one for the ceremony and one for the reception. Her ceremony gown was the epitome of glitz and glam with its delicate beading, while her reception gown was clean and timeless. Opting to not have a first look, the bride instead requested a private moment with the groom to show off her reception dress. It happened to be Josh’s favorite dress on his newly minted bride, and it was perfect for dancing the night away.
