Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
The morning of the celebration the weather was not what most people think of when they hear “Sunshine State.” Heavy winds and scattered showers blanketed the area, leaving a level of uncertainty looming in the air. Spirits were kept high, and positivity prevailed when the early morning rain gave way to the most beautiful afternoon. The jewel tone waters of Destin beach sparkled in the Florida sun, and Jenn and John committed themselves to one another amongst the most beautiful backdrop.
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
John’s reaction to seeing Jenn being walked down the aisle by her sweet daughters was one of the purest moments I have ever had the privilege of capturing. The tears were already flowing once the ceremony music began, but once Jenn turned the corner John could not hold back his tears. Overwhelmed with ALL the feels the groom buried his head in his hands. Once the bride reached him she helped wipe away his tears leaving everyone on the beach that day, including myself, drying their eyes.
Were there any unique traditions or special details with symbolic importance?
Jenn and John’s ceremony was about more than just them as a couple. The blending of their families played a large part in their special day, keeping a main focus on their children coming together. The couple with their children took turns pouring colorful sand into a keepsake bottle. The unity sand made for a sweet reminder of their combined families and the beautiful beach on which they were married.
