What made the wedding venue special?
Court of Deluna was the perfect venue for Parmita and Sean’s wedding because it offers so much creative opportunity. Their indoor and outdoor spaces are basically blank canvases that allow you to get creative and transform your vision into reality.
Was there an exceptional vendor?
Honestly, I’m going to have it to give a round of applause to all the vendors! Everyone who was a part of Parmita and Sean’s wedding worked together to make their day run smoothly and to create a memorable experience. Everyone did an amazing job!
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
As part of Bengali tradition, the bride and groom cannot see each other until the bride enters the mandap, which is a four-pillar structure at the ceremony arbor. When the bride enters the mandap, her face must stay covered with a betel leaf until she walks around the groom seven times. When Parmita removed the betel leaf, her face lit up and her eyes welled with happy tears. It was honestly a magical experience to witness.
Were there any unique traditions that made the reception or ceremony memorable?
This was the first Indian wedding I have photographed, and it is one I will always remember. Indian weddings are full of culture rich traditions. I was truly fascinated by everything! The whole day and experience was memorable.
