What made the wedding venue special?
Having been a wedding photographer for well over a decade at this point, photographing a wedding in a new location is a special treat! Alyssa and Howie’s wedding at Laurel Hill Farm was the first opportunity I have had to photograph a wedding there, and I loved this gorgeous venue! In addition to being an incredible event venue with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as separate spaces on site for both bride and groom to get ready, they are a functioning stable with horses on property! Such a unique event venue, and I can’t wait to go back!
What was the couple’s session like?
In a word – dreamy! The golden sunset light was perfect for their couples portraits, and Alyssa made sure to factor in enough time to take advantage of it when we created her wedding day schedule. We were even able to take a few portraits with one of the sweet horses who calls the stable home!
Did the couple incorporate any pets in the wedding?
Oh my goodness, Alyssa and Howie have the CUTEST pup named Cooper! He gets a little anxious around people he doesn’t know, but was such a good boy and managed to make it down the aisle with the sweetest tongue-out doggo smile the entire time. He even stuck it out to make it into a few portraits with his mom and dad after the ceremony!!
