Were there any special gifts shared between the bride and groom?
Yes! Sarah wore the most incredible pair of strappy heels for most of the day – but as she was getting dressed, Scott had a groomsman drop off a gift. It was a perfect pair of emerald green velvet Birdies, so Sarah could slip into flats and dance the night away! I love this gift so much – thoughtful, practical, and so cute!
What made the band exceptional?
Second Coming is an AMAZING band, specializing in Motown music, and they were absolutely incredible. The dance floor was packed all night long, and I loved seeing guests of all ages letting loose and enjoying the wonderful entertainment. Everyone knew EVERY song, and more than once I turned to see an energetic groomsman twirling a grandmother around the dance floor!
Was there an exceptional vendor?
Bianca from PS Weddings was wonderful, as always. She kept everything on time, stress-free, and beautiful at this magnolia-themed wedding. A great planner is a HUGE asset to helping make the wedding day a great experience for the bride and groom, and she did a fabulous job.
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
Sarah and Scott are two of the nicest, most genuine people, and they were both bubbling over with emotion as they prepared to see each other for the first time on their wedding day. Scott was tearing up before he was even in the room, and Sarah was shaking with anticipation. They wrote letters to each other (my favorite tradition!), and they chose to read the letters to each other during their first look. There were plenty of tears (on both sides), and they supported each other and literally wiped each other’s tears away – a beautiful start to a wonderful day.
