What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
Jaclyn has the kindest spirit. Family and friends mean a great deal to her. In our conversations, I came to discover that her wedding band was made up of diamonds from her grandmother’s ring. Jaclyn is extremely close to her grandmother, and the ring actually came back from the jeweler on her grandmother’s birthday! She told me this made it feel extra special. About two weeks before their wedding, Jaclyn’s grandmother passed away – I can’t imagine how hard that must have been. There were so many beautiful details on her wedding day, but my favorite thing had to be that special wedding band.
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
The weather definitely had the potential to put a damper on their day, but that didn’t stop their smiles and excitement. The fact that it poured right before she was about to walk down the aisle did not upset them – not one bit. In fact, Jaclyn was just laughing at it all! One moment in particular that she remembers fondly was when all of her bridesmaids surrounded her, blocking her from her guests so she could walk to the back of the hall to begin the ceremony! She couldn’t come in from the outside entrance because of the rain, but her guests also closed their eyes to help her get by without being seen! It all made for a great story!
Was there an exceptional vendor?
Mari at Live Oak Plantation was amazing! Despite all the curveballs the rain gave us, she and everyone at Live Oak rolled with the punches and handled it with grace and speed. This kind of professionalism makes our job so much easier!
