What made the wedding venue special?
Pensacola Beach, Florida is always close to my heart because it is my home, and I believe it is one of the prettiest places on earth. Lindsay and Jeff wanted a laid back but beautiful wedding, and they did it right! They chose a beautiful home that had the perfect layout for keeping the bride and groom separated until the ceremony. Everyone was relaxing and enjoying the music and the wind off of the beach through their open doors. The fabulous drinks were flowing and so was the laughter. Everything was so convenient because no one had to leave! They could just take in all the beauty around them. I believe it was the perfect place.
Were there any unique traditions that made the reception or ceremony memorable?
Toasts are a tradition that many weddings incorporate, whether it be at the rehearsal dinner or the wedding itself. I love hearing what family and friends have to say about the couple. They share memories, describe the start of the couple’s love story and even share some really good embarrassing stories. Jeff’s brother’s toast had me choked up. He delivered a speech with many jokes, but he was also not embarrassed to say how proud he was of Jeff and how much he loved him. It was so extremely touching.
What emotions were apparent while the bride was getting ready?
Lindsay had the best attitude the morning of her wedding. She was not worried about everything being perfect, she just wanted to take in every moment and express gratitude for how lovely the day was. She had the most beautiful smile and laughter. Once the gown was on, her friends and family couldn’t stop gushing about how absolutely beautiful she was.
