What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
I knew Allie and Andrew would bring their A game to their wedding day because I saw a little bit of their style during their engagement session and the day they eloped… and it was everything. I was so excited about the official wedding dress, and Allie took my breath away when I saw it. It was the most amazing, sleek dress that had the most exceptional bow.
Tell me about the couple’s choice of color palette.
The colors and decor were so beautiful, simple and elegant with touches of southern charm. The creams and pops of blush combined with the smell of fresh oranges and candles all around made the environment felt very warm and inviting.
Were there any special gifts shared between the bride and groom?
I think one of the most romantic gestures between two humans that love each other is expressing that love with their words. A love letter to the one you love more than anything in the world is one of the sweetest things you can do. What bride or groom wouldn’t want to hear how the other person feels about them? Sure enough these two wrote beautiful sentiments to read on their day that brought tears to their eyes and mine.
What was the couple’s session like?
Allie and Andrew are two of the easiest humans to photograph. Is it because they are professional models? No. They just love each other deeply and are extremely comfortable being together – and it shows. Despite their admission that taking photos isn’t their thing, they realized after a few shots that it isn’t too hard to stare at the person you love.
