What made the band or DJ exceptional?
Kendra and Steve’s wedding was one to remember. Instead of having a DJ or band they had dueling pianos! It was honestly the neatest experience I have ever had at a wedding.
Felix and Fingers definitely had the crowd dancing and singing all night.
What made the reception enjoyable?
I told you that Kendra and Steve’s wedding was one to remember – well I am not kidding. For their grand entrance, they played one of my favorite tracks from Beetlejuice – “Jump in the Line”. It was so fun and unique. Everyone was clapping and cheering and just having a good time, while the bridal party was being announced. But wait, that’s not even the best part! As soon as Kendra and Steve were announced, everyone stood up for a grand entrance that was also a grand surprise! The happy couple was dressed up as Adam and Barbara from the movie Beetlejuice. I always love it when my couples add their personality to their wedding day. This grand entrance is one I’ll always remember. I had such an incredible time!
Were there any special gifts shared between the bride and groom?
Leading up to the wedding, Kendra shared an exciting secret with me. She had her friend film a video of her singing the song “At Last”. The production on Kendra’s video was just spectacular. It reminded me of Jenny’s performance of “Never Enough” from “The Greatest Showman”. When Kendra started singing my jaw just dropped. She has a beautiful voice! I’m telling you it was just amazing. I was BLOWN AWAY!
Were there any unique traditions that made the reception or ceremony memorable?
Kendra and Steve’s wedding was just more than exceptional. They thought of every little detail. This couple was all about having fun and incorporating all the things that make them… them! Fun fact – Kendra and Steve’s first date was at a coffee shop. When we first spoke, she mentioned that she wanted to take a photo of them drinking coffee on their wedding day, and I thought that was the sweetest idea. When I first arrived at their getting-ready location, I was shocked to see an amazing mobile coffee bar as soon as I walked in! What a great way to take it back to where it first started! As with most weddings on a wedding day, everyone is up pretty early to start preparing for the day. And, of course, there’s no better way to start your day than with a cup of coffee.
