What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
Oh, Nicole’s Pronovias wedding gown was absolutely incredible. It was a form-fitting crepe gown with the most beautiful embroidery detail covering sheer fabric from the waist up, and it was spectacular. The gown was formal and romantic and modern, and the perfect complement to the bride’s traditional tiara and cathedral veil. She looked amazing.
What made the wedding venue special?
Foxhall Resort is a huge venue and vacation destination just west of Atlanta, and it was the perfect place for Nicole and JR’s wedding. Most of their guests traveled into Atlanta for their wedding, making this a sort of destination wedding, and Foxhall has everything on site to make their guests comfortable (and to allow them to enjoy a mini-vacation). Legacy Lookout at Foxhall is located on a bluff overlooking horse paddocks, pastures, a lake, and woods, and it was such a beautiful backdrop for the outdoor wedding ceremony and al fresco reception. The inside reception space is built from glass windows on three sides, so their guests were able to dance the night away in the air conditioning (because, you know, July in Georgia is HOT!), but to still watch the beautiful sunset outside.
What made the reception enjoyable?
Nicole and JR’s wedding DJ did a fabulous job keeping the dance floor packed all night long, playing a mix of wedding classics and modern hits. Everyone danced – from the ringbearer to the bride’s grandmother – all night long.
Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
Yes! July in the South can be hot and humid, but Nicole and JR were blessed with an unusually cool and clear day. It poured the day before, but the morning of the wedding was dry, bright and beautiful.
