What emotions were apparent on the wedding day?
Alyssa and Gregory are truly the best. Their first wedding date had to be moved, due to the pandemic, which would have been bad enough. But then, on the rescheduled day, they arrived at their venue to find that they had no power after a storm hit in the middle of the night. Many people would be in tears at the thought of having no power for the entirety of their wedding day, because of a blown transformer. But not Alyssa and Gregory. They handled it with grace and remained calm throughout the day. They decided that everything would be just fine and trusted their vendors to handle it. The unfortunate circumstances didn’t get Alyssa and Gregory down. They were still just as excited to marry each other, and spent the day enjoying their family and friends knowing that they would have a fabulous time together no matter what. Thankfully, right before she walked down the aisle, the power came on and excited screams filled the Pensacola Country Club. It was a pretty epic moment, and I was so happy for them.
What made the reception enjoyable?
All of the love and happiness that was surrounding Alyssa and Gregory made for such a lovely reception. The music, the dancing under twinkling lights, the moonlight shining on the water – it was all so insanely romantic. Gregory was on the dance floor throwing it down with his friends and Alyssa was enjoying chatting with her family and friends. It was nothing but good vibes, and it was a great party.
What was your favorite moment?
There were so many sweet and cool moments that happened on their day, but one that I will not forget is Alyssa and her first dance with her mom. She pulled her mother on the dance floor and they danced and smiled together, which had me on the verge of tears. But then they turned and Alyssa headed over to her 90-year-old grandmother. She lifted her out of her wheelchair supporting her and included her in that sweet moment. I must say I lost it after that. It was a spectacular moment.
