Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
I don’t think it could have been a more perfect day for McKenna and Clay’s late spring Watersound Origins wedding, and al fresco reception!! It was such a relief because this sweet couple had to re-plan their wedding due to the Covid 19 pandemic not once, not twice, but THREE times!! To see the wedding of their dreams finally come to fruition on the most gorgeous May afternoon after so many disappointments was an absolute joy.
What was your favorite detail from the wedding day?
McKenna’s sweet mom and AMAZING team of wedding vendors, including Arden Sanders Events and Florals by the Sea, put so much thought and effort into every single detail! As often is the case however, my favorite detail weren’t the amazing linens (though they were GORGEOUS) or incredible floral designs (absolutely stunning!). It was the smaller and more personal ceremony detail that caught my attention. I absolutely adored the unique vintage handkerchiefs place at every seat for their guest to wave during the second line recessional from ceremony to reception! Not only were the hankies beautiful as decor, but such a delightful nod to their New Orleans heritage!
Were there any children involved in the ceremony or reception that were memorable?
McKenna and Clay have the most precious baby girl who was part of all the wedding day fun! From spending the morning getting ready with all the bridesmaids (in her own set of matching pajamas no less!) to portraits on the beach with mom and dad, and dancing with McKenna and her mom at the reception, she was an absolute angel all day!!
