Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
The morning of Danielle and Thomas’ outdoor Pensacola Country Club wedding saw torrential downpours, hail, and wind gusts so strong that the tent on the lawn where their reception was supposed to have been held was actually blown away. All signs pointed to a gloomy, dreary day. Somehow though, shortly before their first look, the clouds parted and we were graced with the most beautiful, golden sunlight for their ceremony, and portraits at sunset. It couldn’t have turned into a more gorgeous or perfect spring afternoon for their wedding!
What was special about the first time the bride and groom saw each other?
Thomas was a bundle of nerves leading up to their first look, but when Danielle arrived and reached for his hand I could see a physical weight lift from his shoulders. It was so sweet watching them hold hands and read the letters they exchanged while unable to see each other’s faces. The moment when they turned around to see each other for the first time was so full of anticipation and joy at finally making it to their big day – it was beautiful to watch and an honor to photograph!
What was the couple’s session like?
In a word, STUNNING!! Beautiful couple’s portraits were a priority for Danielle and we made sure to schedule them when the light would be just right. The storms earlier in the day had me worried that we weren’t going to be able to get the portraits she was dreaming of, but we ended up the most dreamy, golden sunset light that faded into soft pastel skies as the sun dipped below the horizon. I was so happy to be able to give them the portraits they were dreaming of!
