What made the wedding venue special?
5eleven Palafox is such a wonderful venue for downtown Pensacola weddings – I love it! Alexis and Tate held their beautiful outdoor ceremony in the back courtyard, surrounded by an oasis of lush greenery right in the middle of downtown. The indoor area features old brick walls and wooden floors, and the reception was rocking all night under a beautiful open air tent on the side lawn.
What was unique about the bride and groom’s attire?
Alexis’s sparkly Hayley Paige wedding gown was EVERYTHING. It fit her beautifully, and featured the prettiest sequin and bead pattern.
Tell me about the couple’s choice of color palette.
Supposey did a gorgeous job on the design for this 5eleven Palafox wedding. Soft pink florals with hints of blue, and big pampas grass blooms adorned the bouquets and all of the tables. There were wicker peacock chairs scattered throughout and it gave this classic wedding a boho vibe that was so modern.
How did the parent’s react upon seeing their daughter?
Alexis’s parents clearly adore her, and it was so obvious! The mother of the bride was with her every step of the way, offering support and love. The father of the bride was tearing up when he first saw his little girl all dressed up as a bride, and it made me cry too.
Was there unique transportation?
The getaway car was an amazing Volkswagen Karmann Ghia, and I loved photographing it! It was parked outside the reception all day and passerbys commented on how cool it was – all the way up until it drove away with the bride and groom!
