Did the weather cooperate on the wedding day?
2020 has been quite the year and after having rescheduled their spring wedding to the fall due to Covid19, Hurricane Sally came in well, like a hurricane just days before their wedding. They were determined not to postpone a second time though, and with a little luck, and healthy dose of rolling with the punches, they were able to have their wedding on their planned date!
What made the wedding venue special?
First Baptist Church of Pensacola has been a HUGE part of Mollie’s life. Her grandparents were incredibly involved with the church and her mom was the architect who designed the chapel in which they held their ceremony. I loved how important it was to her to be married in the church where she grew up, so much so that they had their ceremony in the chapel with no power!
What made the reception enjoyable?
Mollie and Sean had originally planned a reception at the Pensacola Country Club, but Hurricane Sally forced an unexpected change of plans. A few days before their wedding, with no power or water in most of the Pensacola area, they were somehow able to pull together a reception in the church recreation center. It wasn’t the elaborate event they originally planned for, but it was lovely and intimate, and so special!
