What makes the The Steeple unique or special?
“One of the things that makes The Steeple so recognizable and special is our history. This building built in 1895, has been a staple in the downtown community in various ways since its conception. Being able to breathe new life into a space that was designed to be used by our community has been a thrill! Every time we see a new business book a luncheon, a bride throw her bouquet off the balcony, a band entertaining a crowd until midnight, we get reenergized by the possibilities of this incredible venue.”

Do you have venue tips for future brides?
“One of the nice things about The Steeple is that you do not have to have a rain plan! Our suggestion to brides who are planning their big day, is to consider the unpredictable weather that the Gulf Coast can sometimes throw at us.
One of the other suggestions that we often give to brides, is to think about their whole wedding weekend from the guests perspective. For many out of town guests, finding multiple venues, parking and navigating through an unfamiliar city can be difficult. One of the packages we provide at The Steeple alleviates the bulk of that stress.

What is your favorite wedding memory at The Steeple?
“We are always impressed by the creativity of the brides that use our space. A bride that replicated our stain glass windows in cookie form, or when one of our brides who had her sister paint a watercolor of The Steeple that was on the front of their wedding Programs. One lucky Bride and Groom, got a painting of The Steeple as a wedding gift that was displayed at their reception. We love that our brides appreciate the beauty of this space as much as we do.”
