Is there anything better than a late spring evening spent in the backyard, gentle breeze in the air and delicious food, and drink shared with family and friends as the sun sets over the water? I say no, there is not. Unless of course it is a late spring backyard wedding. Better yet if it is the kind where you kick off your shoes in the grass, go back for seconds on the food, and dance the night away under the stars. Renee and Brad’s wedding was just that kind. Weddings can often feel a little chaotic because there is so much activity, but with help from friends and the ever-amazing Paul Silivos, Renee and Brad planned one of the most beautiful, laidback, backyard weddings I have had the pleasure of photographing. The afternoon began with a lovely pre-ceremony cocktail hour by the pool before their guests kicked off their shoes and pulled up a seat on the grassy hill overlooking the ceremony by the water. Afterward, everyone made their way to the gorgeous reception on the lawn to enjoy delicious BBQ and cocktails as the sun set, and the breeze blew through the white lanterns strung from the trees overhead. Every detail of the day was carefully thought out to ensure that their guests had a wonderful time – no stress or chaos, just food and music, dancing and laughter, and a whole lot of love for two incredibly lovely people.
Renee and Brad, I can’t imagine a day more perfect for the two of you. Thank you for trusting us to be the ones to document it for you!
