Pensacola Beach is one special place – there are so many beautiful locations and hidden gems along the Gulf Coast. One place that I absolutely love is Portofino Island Resorts, which is why I jumped for joy when I found out Carly and Devin chose to get married there!
The two of them are soon to venture off to Spain, where Devin will continue to play basketball (because he’s just that good). I have to make note of the fact that Carly isn’t lacking in her skills either, palming the basketball and what not during couples portraits… I mean, that’s the best. I think what would’ve topped the day is if they could’ve gone toe to toe against each other, but you can’t have everything you wish for!
Carly has just the sweetest personality and I couldn’t catch her not smiling or laughing throughout the day. We spent the afternoon in one of Portofino Island Resort’s gorgeous suites overlooking the soundside and a beautiful view of the gulf. The time came for Carly to gown and slip on that beautiful dress designed by Melissa Sweet, and I knew she was going to get what she wished for and her future husband was going to shed some tears. The time came, the sun was giving the perfect glow, and Devin soon would see his bride. When she came in sight, Devin couldn’t have looked more thrilled, and yes friends, the tears came. They cuddled and held each other tight throughout the ceremony, as well as through the evening. Every time I see love like that, love that just glows and ignites laughter, I get the warmest and happiest feelings because love like that lasts.
Carly and Devin never stop having that love. Thank you both for having me and know I’m sending you love all the way to Spain!
