They say that rain on your wedding day brings good luck and that must certainly be true for these high school sweethearts because it POURED on their wedding day, but not until after we had finished with all of the romantic outdoor portraits Kayla was hoping for. In fact, the storm clouds that lurked (a little ominously!) overhead gave us the softest, dreamy light to work with and I couldn’t have been more excited when I looked through their photos back at the studio afterward.
Scenic Hills Country Club provided the prettiest backgrounds and everywhere I turned there was gorgeous décor full of incredible magnolia blooms, copper accents, and glowing candle light. My favorite part of their day though, was spending the morning with Kayla and her best girls while they sipped champagne and got spoiled by their hair and makeup team at the Sweet Shoppe Cottage. Every square inch of the house is stunning, and I always get excited when one of my brides chooses it for her bridal prep location. It was the absolute perfect location for this sweet Southern bride to get ready for her sweet, southern spring wedding.
Kayla and Ryan, your day was amazing, and I am so happy to have been the person to photograph it for you! Cheers to so many more amazing days to come!
